HybridZ

Content-adaptive compression library using entropy coding and data-type analysis.

RustCompression

HybridZ is a content-adaptive hybrid compression library written in Rust. It analyses the data, selects the most suitable combination of transform and entropy coding, and applies it. Why? Traditional compressors (gzip, bzip2, zstd) are fixed to a single strategy. HybridZ first analyses the data type (text, numerical, repetitive, executable, binary, fixed-length), then selects a suitable transform pipeline and entropy coder for it. It aims to use different reference compressors for different data types.
